Do you also believe that truth is found in wine? We've taken the Latin phrase "In Vino Veritas" as our starting point and come up with a few interesting facts about wine. Of course, we want to share them with you. At the same time, we'll also give you a few wine recommendations that you can take note of the next time you're shopping in ScandiPark, close to the E45/A7 motorway.

Wine is always in season

A good glass of wine in the evening is always nice - no matter the season. But some wines and certain flavours are particularly associated with either winter or summer. And so the question is: Which wine goes with which dish? In summer, we often eat light dishes, perhaps in combination with vegetables and meat from the grill. Does this sound like the June menu in your family? Then a refreshingly cool white wine or rosé is a good choice. In the border shop in Handewitt, you'll find delicious drops for your evening on the terrace or in the garden. Here are two of our favourites:

  • Miraval Côtes de Provence 2021
This wine comes from the stars - in the truest sense of the word. The Miraval vineyard, located in the beautiful south of France, was once bought by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Together with a wine expert, they developed this glory. It convinces with noble aromas of strawberry and raspberry, complex fruit notes spoil the palate. Enjoy this rosé as an aperitif or serve it with seafood dishes.

  • Doppio Passo Rosé
The Italian classic is not only available as a red or white wine, but also as a rosé - and it's sure to lift the holiday mood in your garden or on your balcony! Doppio Passo's rosé is fresh and vibrant, fruity and smooth. It's perfect for a cosy timeout at sunset. The best part is: You're getting a great wine at an absolutely great price.

Maybe you've organised a BBQ in the garden and are expecting guests? Then it's worth visiting our BiB wines section. Here you'll find delicious rosé, white and red wines in a smart "Bag-in-Box" package. In other words: You get a full three litres of tasty wine in a carton with a tap tap - an optimal solution for festive occasions.

Here's to the vines!

Many more wines await you in Scandinavian Park's wine selection: We offer a large selection of noble drops from the world's most popular wine regions. You're probably familiar with wine regions such as Rioja in Spain; Bordeaux, Burgundy, Provence and the Rhône Valley in France; Piedmont and Tuscany in Italy and California in the USA. Germany also offers high-quality wine. Many have heard of the Mosel and Rheingau wine regions, also known as the "German Riviera". If you're looking for a tasty drop, it pays to buy wines from these regions, which have proven their worth.

But other countries also produce delicious wines. Take the Bohai region in China, which, with more than one million hectares of vineyards, is the world's second largest wine producer. Greece is also an underdog, as the popular tourist destination is not necessarily known for being a wine country. This is despite the fact that Attica - a lesser-known Greek wine region with optimal weather conditions - offers exquisite wines.
